Rowling and her publisher have both stated the series will be ten books in length. I wonder how this will work in light of her playful Parallel Series echoing and alchemical signatures -- and Running Grave should give us a lot of clues in that regard.
Enjoyed this! I love the contrast between the unicorn and the quotidian donkey in Troubled Blood. While Charlotte may be an unbelievably rare and beautiful creature, it is the less stunning but dependable Robin who becomes Cormoran's partner. Can't believe we're getting the next entry in the series this year...and it may be a 10 book series? Perhaps even 12? I think the current line from JKR's website is 10.
