I have to say that I am down for the gossip. Haha. That being said, I enjoy being taught about Rowling from the lake and shed perspective. I have been properly “indoctrinated” on ring composition from John’s years of tutelage but always appreciate other nods to her structure. Describing her as OCD in her structure and plotting seemed spot on. I also like seeing how she takes themes from her life and her bibliography and applies them to her work. Not being well versed in literature, it is always eye opening for me when other works or authors are shown in specific aspects of her story or characters. Seeing the big picture of what you call the fourth generation as gleaned from her overall body of work is also enlightening.
Getting to the gossip however, I am “down” for Nick’s prediction of Matthew’s worminess contributing to any infertility Robin may experience rather than even just her rape experience. That would be such a Matthew thing to have done. In the area of baby and parental entrapment, it would be terrible for Murphy to entrap Robin. But it could lead to some deep soul searching by Robin as she comes to grips with having great instincts in her job reading people but being “crap” as British say reading the people in her own love life.
